About Us

IMCR is a Civil and Human Rights Non-Government Organisation with its registered office in New Delhiin India.

It was founded on 28-Jun-2022 as decided at the Indian Muslim Intellectuals Meet (IMIM) on 29-May-2022 at New Delhi.IMCR has been defending Human Rights, civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights in accordance with the constitution of India article 14 to 21 and Universal Declaration of Human Rights by United Nations General Assembly resolution 217A in 1948

Vision & Mission

IMCR envision an inclusive society where everyone takes responsibility for promoting and protecting human rights; where everyone is valued and treated with equal dignity and respect; and where everyone’s human rights are a lived reality.

The way to realize this vision is to activate and engage the full range of our functions and powers by employing legal and public advocacy and in accordance with constitution of India.

The Mission of IMCR is to defend all Human Rights and Civil, Political, Economic, Social and Cultural rights of Indian Muslims and other Minorities. This is to be achieved as per the Universal Declaration of Human Rightsas proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly vide Resolution-217A,in Paris on 10-Dec-1948 and undertaken by United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

Our mission is articulated with below strategic objectives

  • To put best efforts for a better India where everyone enjoy their Human Rights and Civil Rights without any discrimination or prejudice.
  • To bring the perpetrators of Human Rights violations accountable, whetherpublic entities, companies, individuals, institutions and government.
  • To build Human Rights awareness by engaging in network-building, advocacy and outreach efforts.
  • To support the implementation of international Human Rights, democracy and the rule of law in national contexts.
  • To address challenges facing Human Rights and democracy in an increasingly globalised society.
  • To educate Human Rights defenders active in the non-governmental, governmental and inter-governmental spheres.
  • To advance, connect and coordinate, cross-regionally and interdisciplinary, key human resources and expertise in the area of Human Rights.
