The above Conclave was organised at Sahkarita Bhawan Auditorium, Vidhan Sabha Marg, Lucknow to reach out to the concerned community members of this historic city for introducing and sensitising about the mission of IMCR and seeking their active participation and support in pursuance of its objectives. About more than 250 active community members participated in the Conference.
The above Conclave was addressed by prominent personalities which includes Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Former Chief Minister, Jammu & Kashmir and Present MP (LS), Dr. K Rahman Khan, Former Deputy Chairman (Rajya Sabha) and Patron, IMCR, Dr. Aziz Qureshi, Former Governor (UP, Uttarakhand and Mizoram) and Patron, IMCR, Mr. Salman Khurshid, Former Union Minister and Founder Trustee, IMCR and senior Congress leader, , Mr. Syed Azeez Pasha, Former MP (RS) (CPI) and Member, Executive Committee, IMCR, Mr. Naseem Siddique, Former Chairman, Minorities Commission, Maharashtra, Mr. Salim Ansari, Former MP (Lok Sabha), Mr. Javeed Ahmad, Retired DGP,UP besides Mr. Mohammad Adeeb, Chairman, IMCR and Former MP (Rajya Sabha) and some other eminent members of the community from Lucknow and other places in UP.
The conclave saw brainstorming from over 250 Muslim intellectuals, professionals from various fields including retired civil servants, legal experts, journalists, scholars, human right activists and eminent citizens from the Muslim community from Lucknow and outside, to conclude upon the way forward towards a saner and united response that is the need-of-the-hour, so that the secular fabric of the country and the Constitution doesn’t get torn any further and the civil rights of Muslims and other minorities are justly secured.
